I made $42K freelancing this year. How much can I put into my PRActicle™?
Your PRActicle™ is a portable Roth IRA, so for 2026 you'll be able to contribute up to $7,500 ($8,600 if you're 50+) once your account opens. You're well under the income phase-out, so you'd qualify for the full amount.

The big win: you contribute post-tax, and every dollar is designed to grow tax-free, so you'd never owe tax on it again in retirement. Want me to show what $7K/year could grow to by 65?

$72,000

2026 Solo 401(k) / SEP total limit

A W-2 employee can defer $24,500 into a 401(k) in 2026. A self-employed consultant, physician or engineer with a Solo 401(k) can put in that $24,500 plus roughly 20% of net self-employment income as the employer, up to $72,000 total ($80,000 at 50+). A Roth IRA alone stops at $7,500. Approximations from IRS Notice 2025-67, not tax advice.

5.6 million

US independents earning $100k+

MBO Partners' 2025 State of Independence counts 5.6 million Americans earning six figures independently, up 86% since 2020. Yet industry estimates put Solo 401(k) adoption among the self-employed at only about 15 to 18%. Most high-earning independents have the income for a plan and not the plan.

What $2,000/mo becomes in 20 years

$2,000 a month is well under the Solo 401(k) room on $150k of net income. Compounded monthly for 20 years at a 6% average annual return, that is about $924,000, before any tax effect. 6% is an assumption, not a promise, returns vary and can be negative.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers, plain English.

What is Gigaverse?+

Gigaverse is the all-in-one financial app built for gig workers, freelancers, and the self-employed. We bundle instant pay, a retirement account that auto-saves from every gig (the PRActicle™), automatic mileage and deduction tracking, multi-platform earnings, and an AI Money Coach, all in one place, all for the 100M+ Americans the financial system was never designed for. Gigaverse is not a bank; brokerage services are provided through a FINRA/SIPC-member broker-dealer.

What is the Gigaverse PRActicle™?+

The PRActicle™ (Portable Retirement Account) is a portable Roth IRA built specifically for people without an employer 401(k). Reserve your PRActicle™ by signing up free today, account opening is rolling out now. Once open, it's designed to auto-invest from every payout you receive from gig platforms or clients. You contribute post-tax dollars (up to $7,500/year, or $8,600 if you're 50+), your money grows tax-free, and qualified withdrawals in retirement are tax-free.

How fast do I get paid?+

Under a minute. Gigaverse uses stablecoin settlement to deliver your earnings to your debit card, USDC wallet, or linked external account 24/7, no more 3-to-7-day waits. Basic ACH is $0.25; instant payouts are 0.75% + $0.25.

How much can I save on taxes?+

Many gig workers miss thousands of dollars a year in deductions they're entitled to, industry estimates commonly cite $2,000–$5,000, though your savings depend entirely on your miles, income, and expenses. Gigaverse auto-tracks every business mile (2026 IRS rate: $0.76/mi (Jul–Dec 2026; $0.725 Jan–Jun)), captures the new No Tax on Tips deduction (up to $25,000/year through 2028), and calculates your quarterly estimates so April never surprises you. Actual savings vary; we don't guarantee a specific amount.

What is the Saver's Match?+

Starting in 2027, the federal Saver's Match (under SECURE 2.0) will provide a matching contribution of up to $1,000 per year into qualifying retirement accounts, 50% of the first $2,000 contributed, subject to income eligibility and phase-out rules. Contributions to the Gigaverse PRActicle™ Roth IRA count toward earning the match, but the match payment itself cannot be deposited into a Roth IRA (26 U.S.C. §6433(e)(2)), so it needs a traditional or SEP-IRA to land in. It phases out above $35,500 of income for single filers, so it mainly matters for lower-income savers. Eligibility depends on your individual circumstances; see the IRS Saver's Match guidance for details.

Do I have to be a full-time gig worker?+

No. If you drive weekends for Lyft, freelance design, run an Etsy shop, consult on the side, or do all four, Gigaverse is for you. Anyone earning income outside a W-2 is welcome.

How much does Gigaverse cost?+

Free forever to open your account and start saving. Pro ($4.99/mo) adds unlimited instant payouts, unlimited AI Money Coach (deduction-finding + quarterly tax calc), and auto-contributions. Wealth Builder ($9.99/mo) unlocks advanced portfolio tools and priority support. No setup fees, cancel anytime.
