How Gigaverse
makes money.
If a financial app is free, you should ask how it eats. Most of the honest answers are uncomfortable, a cut of your balance, a spread on your cash, or your data. Here is our entire list, including the places where our interests and yours don't line up.
What we earn money from
Subscriptions, this is the whole business
Free is $0 forever. Pro is $4.99/mo. Wealth Builder is $9.99/mo. That's the entire revenue model today. You pay us a flat amount, or nothing, and the amount never changes based on how much money you have.
Planned: an advisory fee, once our SEC registration is effective
We have applied to register as an investment adviser with the SEC. Once that registration is effective we plan to offer an optional managed portfolio and charge an annual advisory fee on the assets we manage for you. That fee will be published here and in our Form ADV Part 2A before anyone is charged, it will be opt-in, and the subscription tiers above stay flat and stay usable without it. We are telling you now rather than at launch.
What we don't earn money from
Each of these is a real, legal revenue line that financial apps commonly use. We name them so you can check us against them.
We don't charge a percentage of savings we don't manage
Your subscription is flat, $0, $4.99 or $9.99, and it never changes with your balance. The only asset-based fee we plan to charge is the advisory fee on an optional managed portfolio, after our SEC registration is effective and after it is disclosed in our Form ADV. A self-directed account is not charged a percentage, and we never pay a partner, affiliate or referrer any part of an advisory fee or any amount based on your deposits or balance.
We don't sell or rent your data
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to the gig platforms you drive for. Your earnings data is some of the most commercially valuable data about you that exists. We don't sell it, and we won't.
We don't take payment for order flow
PFOF means a brokerage gets paid to route your trades to a particular market maker. It is legal, common, and disclosed by many large platforms in their own fee disclosures. We don't take it, and PRActicle™ isn't built to.
We don't earn a spread on your idle cash
Many apps sweep your uninvested cash to partner banks and keep part of the interest. That's why a "free" app can be profitable. We don't hold your cash, so we earn nothing on it.
We don't lend out your securities
Securities lending is another common revenue line at larger platforms. It isn't part of our model.
We don't take referral fees for what the AI recommends
Gigsy, our AI Money Coach, is not paid to steer you toward any product, ours or anyone else's. If it ever recommends a third party we'll say plainly whether we're paid for it.
Where our interests and yours diverge
Every company has these. Most don't write them down. Ours:
We want you to upgrade
We make $0 from a Free user and $9.99/mo from a Wealth Builder user, so we have an obvious incentive to push you up a tier. Our defense is that the free tier is genuinely useful on its own, every calculator, and Gigsy, work without paying us or even making an account. Judge us on whether Free stays worth using.
Our founder runs the delivery companies that reach our users
Derek Beckmann is CEO of Gigaverse AI and also operates Dragonfly Tech and BringMeThat, delivery companies whose Delivery Service Provider partners give us access to roughly 10,000 drivers. That's our main distribution advantage, and it's also a related-party relationship. Drivers are never required to use Gigaverse, and using it has no bearing on their work.
A retirement product makes more sense for us the longer you keep it
Subscription businesses profit from retention, and retirement accounts are naturally long-lived. That aligns us with you in the ordinary case, but it also means we benefit when you keep an account open. You can close a PRActicle™ and move it to another custodian at any time, and we won't charge you to leave.
How that compares
| Revenue source | Typical robo-advisor | Gigaverse |
|---|---|---|
| % of your balance (AUM fee) | ~0.25%/yr, grows with balance | None today; planned only on an optional managed portfolio after SEC registration |
| Payment for order flow | Common | None |
| Interest spread on your cash | Common | None, we don't hold cash |
| Securities lending | Common | None |
| Selling or sharing your data | Varies | Never |
| Flat subscription | Sometimes | Our only revenue today |
“Typical robo-advisor” describes revenue practices these firms disclose publicly in their own fee disclosures; it is a general characterization, not a statement about any specific competitor's current pricing. Check any provider's own Form ADV and fee disclosure before comparing.
Questions people actually ask
Is Gigaverse actually free?
The Free tier is $0 forever with no trial clock and no credit card. Every tax, mileage and retirement calculator on the site works with no account at all. Pro ($4.99/mo) and Wealth Builder ($9.99/mo) are optional paid tiers.
Do you charge a percentage of my retirement savings?
Not today. Today the only thing you pay us is a flat monthly subscription that does not change with your balance. We have applied to register as an investment adviser with the SEC, and once that is effective we plan to offer an optional managed portfolio with an annual advisory fee on the assets we manage. The rate will be published here and in our Form ADV before anyone is charged, and choosing not to use it leaves your subscription price unchanged.
Do you sell my earnings or bank data?
No. We do not sell, rent or share your financial data with advertisers, data brokers, or the gig platforms you work for. Bank connections are read-only and used to power your own tools.
Do you take payment for order flow?
No. Payment for order flow is a legal and common brokerage revenue source, but it isn't part of our model.
How do you make money if I never upgrade?
From you specifically, we don't. That's an honest answer. Free users cost us money and we're betting enough of them find Pro worth $4.99 to cover it. If that bet fails, we'd change pricing openly rather than quietly monetizing your data.
Is Gigaverse a registered investment adviser?
Not yet. Gigaverse AI, Inc. is not currently registered as an investment adviser, and nothing we publish is individualized investment advice. We have applied to register with the SEC and we'll say so plainly here when that registration is effective.
