MCP partner discovery

An assistant starts at the discovery file, calls the read-only server, and then sends the person to exactly one next step: partner contact, free app signup, or the IRA waitlist.

Discovery file: /.well-known/mcp-read.json

Two servers

/api/read-mcp

No auth and no personal data. Tools list partner programs, estimate 1099 quarterly tax, and return the signup, partner-contact, and waitlist links. This server cannot start a signup.

https://gigaverse.ai/api/read-mcp

/api/mcp

This server can initiate a signup only. The person has to open the returned link and confirm. It does not complete identity checks, and it does not open a Solo 401(k), SEP IRA, or Roth IRA.

Partner pages: /partners. The read-only tool get_partner_program returns the CPA, payroll, bookkeeper, accounting software, and small-business URLs.

Tested example, no personal data

Call estimate_1099_quarterly_tax with a yearly net profit and a filing status. The same call is what the read-only server test runs. Nothing in the arguments identifies a person.

{
  "name": "estimate_1099_quarterly_tax",
  "arguments": {
    "net_profit": 40000,
    "filing_status": "single"
  }
}

For those inputs the federal estimate is $7,933 for the year, or $1,983 each quarter. It uses the same math as the 1099 quarterly tax calculator. It is an educational estimate, not a tax return. The next link for this result is free app signup, because the question was a tax estimate.

Assumptions: Self-employment income is the only taxable income and the filer takes the standard deduction. No credits and no state tax. An estimate, not a tax return.

Order of calls

  1. Read /.well-known/mcp-read.json and connect to https://gigaverse.ai/api/read-mcp.
  2. Call list_partner_programs or get_partner_program when the question is about a firm.
  3. Call estimate_1099_quarterly_tax when the question is a 1099 tax estimate. Use the example above.
  4. Call get_signup_links and pick partner contact, app signup, or the retirement waitlist from the table.

Common questions

Does the read-only server store personal data?

No. /api/read-mcp has no auth and no PII. The tested example sends a profit amount and a filing status, nothing else.

When should an assistant use /api/mcp instead?

Only to start a signup the person must confirm, or to check that signup. /api/mcp does not finish identity checks or open a Solo 401(k), SEP IRA, or Roth IRA. Discovery and tax estimates stay on /api/read-mcp.

Which link is correct after a partner lookup?

Partner interest at /partners#request, or [email protected]. A 1099 tax estimate goes to free app signup. A Solo 401(k), SEP, or Roth question goes to /ira-waitlist.
